Gamax Kft. was founded in 1990 by a software engineers' team working, at the time, on software projects in Germany. Gamax Kft., which is the flagship of the group GAMAX comprising several companies, basically deals with software development and leasing of IT manpower. Besides, its lines of software localisation and trade of software MATLAB are also worth mentioning.

Out of the other group members Pannonwork Inc deals with manpower-leasing and student work, Gamaxnet Ltd with the distribution of data communication hardware and Instantweb Ltd with developents in web environment.
